Summer is almost here—which means it’s time to find ways to keep the kids busy before they start staging dramatic exits every time you ask them to do chores! Lucky for you, Pocket Sandwich Theatre is offering THREE exciting kids' workshops, including a melodrama camp (info coming soon) and a laugh-out-loud improv workshop! Who knows? By the end of summer, they might just start taking direction!

#1: JUNE 15 - 19 MELODRAMA WORKSHOP FOR KIDZ & TWEENS
A sci-fi melodrama thriller and your child is in it!

Boo! Hiss! Yay! Everyone had so much fun last year, we're going to do it again! Melodrama Workshop--FOR KIDS & TWEENS! June 15-June 19 from 10am-2:30pm. There will be a performance of their show, It Came from Over There!, a sci-fi melodrama, comedy-thriller, onstage Friday, June 19 at 1:30 pm for friends and family. Written By Chris EspinosaXYZ, one of the melodrama coaches and a Nationally Certified Teaching Artist (Drama/Language Arts). Check him out at http://www.chrisespinosa.xyz/

THE SHOW: IT CAME FROM OVER THERE! The local evil Mad Scientist built a robot to take over the world. The scientist may be evil, but he isn't all bad. He's ecologically conscious. He designed his robot to run on Potato Power! Unfortunately, it takes way more potatoes than he can grow in his greenhouse to keep his mechanical man moving. That's why every night, he sends his pack of werewolves to raid the local farms for their potato crops. BOO!
Galileo and his best friend Aurora Borealis have been warned about the dangerous potato-stealing werewolves. However, it's the night of the Ajax Comet, so they sneak out of the house anyway to see the comet zoom across the night sky. Through the telescope, Aurora accidentally sees the werewolves taking the purloined potatoes into the Mad Scientist's lab. She wants to tell her dad, the sheriff, where the potatoes are, but the werewolves capture her to keep her quiet. OH NO!
The next day, the Mad Scientist and his robot begin their world domination at Jason's Annual Friday the 13th Farmers Market Celebration. GASP! Just when you think all is lost, the sheriff and Galileo swoop in just in time to rescue Aurora, destroy the robot, and arrest the evil Mad Scientist. Most importantly, they save the potatoes from the clutches of the Mad Scientist! You can say they make the farmers market so potato-perfect that everything is Ore-Ida! YAY!
Ages 8-16 Cost $275 with any additional kids getting $50 off. Please bring a bag lunch. Drinks and snacks will be provided. CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS!
