I’ve never been to the Pocket before, can you tell me how this will work?
We are a live theatre with optional food and beverage, deli style fare, the last of dinner theaters in DFW.  We opened in 1980 and are proud to say we are “The Most Fun You Can Have In A Dinner Theatre!”  You purchase your tickets online (see below), then, when you arrive at the box office give us the name on your purhcase, and then one of our friendly seaters will escort you to your seat.  After that it, works like a regular restaurant.  You will have a waiter, order your food and enjoy the show!  Lunch & dinner service ends 30 minutes before show time but there will be 1-2 intermissions where you can order additional drinks and desserts.

TICKETS:

How do I purchase them?

We have an online ticketing system:

We do not have physical tickets, just check in with the name you purchased them under.

Do I NEED to pre-purchase or can I buy them at the door?  It is not required however we strongly recommend it as it will guarantee  seating. Walk-ins are always welcome and we will take them if we have the seats available.  Many times, we don't.

Can we request a specific seat or area?

NO. Seating is first-come, first-serve based on party size and time of arrival.  The house is pre-set with all reserved group sizes.  We do provide wheelchair accessible seating but must be informed of this at the time of purchasing tickets.  There is a Customer Instructions area under the credit card entry.

What is the seating capacity?
12
5-140 seats, depending on the show and set.

Do all of the people in our party need to be there to be seated?

No, we will seat you as you arrive.  You must be here to stay in order to hold an area of seats.

I want to make a large party and/or sit with someone else’s party, how do I do this?

If you wish to sit with someone else and pay separately: Use YOUR name for the credit card information and the exact same name of your group under Customer Name.  We preset all ticket party sizes.  Example: Eric Idle would like to sit with his cousin's family, John Nitwit.  Eric would enter his name and credit card number then under Customer Name he would enter John Nitwit.  Easy peasy.  So, decide on a name for the party and you are good to go!

I’m nervous about giving out my credit card info, is it on a secure system?

Yes, we value our customers and work to ensure the security of their information.  All customer data is kept securely locked up.  Online ticketing is FULLY SECURED in a data center equipped with the latest firewall and intrusion detection technologies.

Cancellation Policy:  ALL ONLINE SALES ARE FINAL.  Unfortunately, illness and bad weather are not excuses.  Call a friend, call a neighbor, give someone a great gift!  We’re here, the show must go on!

Are there any group discounts?

Yes, parties of 30+ get $2 off each ticket, but you will need to contact the box office to do so.

What time do the doors open?

Typically: 8pm Shows Thursdays-Saturdays doors open 6:30, 2pm matinees doors open at 12:30; 1pm matinees doors open at 11:30.  Arrival by 15 minutes before show time although food service ends 30 minutes prior to show time.  Special week day shows may vary. Tickets are released to standbys 5 minutes prior to show time.

Is there a dress code?
No, you can come in jeans and a tee shirt [what the staff typically wears] or get all gussied up if you’d like.  Anything goes.  Almost.

Do you do anything special for birthdays, and can I bring a cake?
Yes, you can always bring a cake, we will keep it in the fridge in the back until you're ready to cut it, we have candles as well. In melodramas our actors will sing happy birthday at the start of the show, so remember to tell the box office person when checking in and to give them the name of the birthday person. Or, if it is a surprise, you can easily sneak off and tell your waiter who will relay the message to the actors.

What do you mean by “audience participation” for your melodramas?

You boo and hiss at the bad guys, and cheer for the good guys.  Also for $.50 you get a basket of popcorn to throw at the other actors and other patrons!!!  Every OTHER show is a melodrama.  We also put on some great comedies and musicals that you will enjoy.

PARKING- We are aware of and agonize over the lack of parking out front.  There is a large parking lot directly behind us which is available if the front parking is full.  Then just walk around to the front.  Anywhere you can park along any street or scattered parking lots in the area.  It will be much better soon, promise!  The city is adding all kinds of parking in future plans.
